One of our most popular events is back for another year! The Trivia Contest brings together many teams to battle it out for bragging rights in this 10-round contest. The evening is a lot of fun for people of all abilities.
Teams may dress in costumes depicting favorite book/series/author/ character, etc. Tables may be decorated to go along with your team’s theme. (This is optional, but fun.)
How It Works:
Each round has a category with 10 questions. Time will determine how many categories will be used. At the beginning of each round, the category will be announced, and each team will be given a sheet with 10 questions. Teams will have 8 minutes to write down their answers. After 8 minutes, each team’s sheet will be given to the judges for scoring. While scoring is taking place, the questions will be read, and the answers given. At the end of each round, each team’s score will be announced and recorded. Play will continue until 8:30.
NO SMARTPHONES ALLOWED – ONLY SMART PEOPLE!
Not feeling confident in a category? Before the start of the trivia contest, teams will be allowed to purchase MULLIGANS. Each mulligan allows the team to submit 2 answers for 1 question, increasing your odds at getting the answer correct. There is not limit on how many you can purchase, or how many you can use during each round. Mulligans cost $5.00 each or 6 for $25.
There will be an assortment of great raffles available. Tickets will be sold during the welcome time (5-6 PM). Winners will be announced throughout the evening.
Please note: chairs at the Rec Building aren’t the most comfortable. You may want to bring a cushion.
